A mini app is the screen
A mini app is a full visual interface that opens on top of the chat. It's a real app — buttons, lists, maps, games, checkout flows — running inside Telegram. Where a bot talks, a mini app shows. That's why shops, wallets and games are almost always mini apps: they need a canvas, not a conversation.
Together they're powerful
The best experiences use both. A bot reaches you — it pings you when something happens or when it's your turn — and then opens a mini app to give you a proper screen to act on. You get the immediacy of chat and the richness of an app, without ever leaving Telegram.
